WOW, our new issue of For Her Information Magazine has hit the newstands and it's filled with great stuff! You can also read it online at www.ForHerInformation.com or click here and then click on the "READ" icon at the bottom of our homepage to be transported to the magazine launch page!

This week's newsletter from For Her Information Media starts out with a quick update on the Cool Globes Art exhibit along Chicago's lakefront this summer. The display of over 125 five-foot-in diameter globes will feature creations by artists from all over the country! Each globe will present a "solution" to global warming and will bring awareness about the many ways we all can make a difference. If you're visiting Chicago this summer be sure to look for the For Her Information Media sponsored globe created by Pop Artist, Romero Britto, in honor of Carbon Neutral Sporting Events (this year's Super Bowl was carbon neutral). We're delighted to be a part of such a beautiful exhibit that will impact so many people's lives. To find out more log on to www.CoolGlobes.org

Recently, on our radio show/podcast, Conversations with Beth and Dan, we had the pleasure of talking with Dr. Adam Shafran and Lee Kantor hosts of the Dr. Fitness and the Fat Guy radio show in Atlanta. We discussed simple ways to stay fit and lose weight and we learned about their new book, You Can't Lose Weight Alone: The Partner Power Weight Loss Program. To hear the entire interview, just click here and you'll be transported to our fhi radio page. (The second orange "play audio"button from the top of the page).

Who is this joyfully smiling man? You may recognize his picture, one that is adored by people all over the world. His name is Tenzin Gyatso; otherwise know as His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. He is the spiritual and temporal leader of the Tibetan people and is respected worldwide for his message of compassion and tolerance, his promotion of human values, of of inter-religious understanding, and his focus on peace through non-violent conflict resolution, including the issue of Tibet. This kind and gentle man of almost 72 years patiently addressed thousands of devotees as he shared his message of peace during a public talk at Chicago's Millennium Park and Harris Theatre this past weekend. He shared insight on the "Eight Verses for Training the Mind" which, in essence is how to live compassionately and deliberately. Although it takes a lifetime of practice, His Holiness agrees that, "One must work towards living an alturistic lifestyle, seeing the diverse needs of each individual."

With the inspiration and energy of that sunny Sunday afternoon, I for one, will make this an everyday goal~practice~practice~practice.

Last week we asked you to send us your favorite way to "save the plant". Our random fhi "I.T. Girl"prize winner was, C. Hill from Evanston, Illinois.

She shares that "There are so many little things we moms do to save the Earth, one paper bag at a time...my most favorite "saving grace" is when I mow the lawn with my rotary mower. We have a town home, and our yard is not large, but it still makes a me proud to burn my own calories while cutting the grass.

Thanks for your emails; keep the ideas and feedback coming. We're here to make your life better!

All the Best,
Beth Aldrich
