Happy New Year!

I wanted to start off this new year with a very useful newsletter.  I'm one of those gals who likes to be prepared, so when I found the Preparedpak, I just couldn't wait to buy them for my entire family AND share the information with YOU!  My extended family, of sorts!

Quick, where do you keep a copy of your insurance policy, bank statements or favorite family picture?  Mine are in my Preparedpak--and yours should be too.

What goes into a Preparedpak?  Well, if you log on to www.preparedpak.com you can take a look at a complete list showing all of the very helpful things they put in each of their  Preparedpaks.  Here is what you can find in the Basic Home Safety pak for only $39.95:

  • AM/FM Radio
  • 33-piece First Aid Kit
  • 50 water purification tablets
  • can opener
  • gas shut off wrench
  • 7-function tool
  • 5 emergency candles
  • waterproof matches
  • 30' of duct tape
  • Help sign

They've thought of everything you would need for an emergency or disaster and it's  stored in a bright red backpack packaged either in a Home Safety pak, Family pak or Pet pak; and all profits are being donated to Hope Village for Children in Meridian, Mississippi, to care for children displaced from Hurricane Katrina.

Included in the pak you'll also find an Emergeny Contact List and a list of additional items to include in your Preparedpak.  The list includes such things as:

  • Family photo
  • Pet photo
  • List of medications/doctors
  • Important phone #'s (family and friends)
  • Spare key to house/car
  • Pen and paper
  • Cash, checks, credit cards
  • Copy of insurance policies, bank and brokerages statments, diriver's license, passport and will
  • Maps-local and national
  • backup disc for computer
  • cell phone and car adapter
  • canned food/water bottles
  • Toilet paper/tissue (with zip lock bag for disposal)
  • Tooth brush/paste
  • Warm hat, gloves, socks, underware
  • Baby needs-food, toys, diaper changes (all in a plastic bag)
  • Book or personal items

We always hope there will never be a need for such emergencies, but as Edna Mole (from the Incredibles Movie) says, "Luck favors the prepared(pak), dear!"

Enjoy the Week!
