It
seems that people are always saying, "I want to change the
world". Well, from my standpoint, our world is pretty
good. I know we've got our share of problems but if you look
around and pay attention, you'll see, there really are some
pretty amazing people, places and things Mother Earth calls her
own.
But,
if you're like me, striving for perfection is always on your
mind. So go ahead, make the world a better place and know that
EVERY individual CAN make a difference.
Recently,
a friend told me about a really cool website, www.wearewhatwedo.org ,
where you can log on and read about this new movement inspiring
people to use their everyday actions to change the world. They're
not talking about moving mountians, rather a more gentle nudge
from the corner desk. Their new book, Change the World 9 to
5, tells how to shake off that Formica mind-set and swap
it for something bouncier, happier and healthier,
instead.
The
site is pretty cool, with lists of things you
can do to change the world, including finding out where your food
came from or to leave work on time once this week,
things that really make sense and do create change.
How
do you change a social tide? With a ripple of
course!
Here's
to what we do,
