Pay it forward!

November, 28, 2006

I just love my friends over at ChicBlvd.com. They're always coming up with such neat ideas, cool deals and useful tips. Starting this Friday, they have a big campaign starting; I've pasted the info and details below. Check it out and pay it forward!

They say that anyone on Earth can be connected to any other person through a chain of six people, which means that NO ONE is really a stranger.

Based on this idea, the number of people in the chain grows through every
contact so in a short amount of time, the set of acquaintances become the entire human population. So… we are really all connected.

How does this pertain to you?

There is a 6 year-old little girl in Africa infected with HIV/AIDS—and five people later, it could be reaching your boyfriend, your sister, your mother, your father.

AIDS is no longer just a dietary candy, nor is it a disease that’s gender or race specific. It no longer singularly devastates the lives in Africa. All of our lives are impacted by AIDS both subtly and overwhelmingly.AIDS has killed more than 25 million people worldwide making it the most destructive epidemic in recorded history. In 2005 the AIDS epidemic claimed an estimated 3.1 million lives of which, more than 570,000 were children.

Everyday more than 2,000 kids are infected with the HIV virus.

AIDS is beyond a cause, it’s an emergency!

Hint Mint and ChicBlvd.com hope that by starting a train of AIDS Awareness across America, a Gesture of Kindness movement will be sparked that will take on a life of its own to save lives all over the world.

On World AIDS Day--December 1st 2006--Hint Mint and ChicBlvd.com will launch the first annual, CarryATin4Aids Campaign.

Beginning with Actor Jesse Bradford from Bring It On and

Olympian Maurice Green, 48 additional individuals will be carefully selected to begin an awareness chain. They will receive a uniquely numbered Limited Edition AIDS Awareness Tin, take one mint and pass along the tin.  The ultimate goal is for the participant to inspire 34 more people (whether they be friends, family or random encounters) to do the same until ultimately, 35 mints later, the now empty tin is sent to the office of YouthAIDS/ PSI in Washington, DC on or before January 1st, 2007 deadline.

For every Limited Edition Tin that arrives at YouthAIDS, pledge amounts
submitted by individuals via HintMint.com will be donated to YouthAIDS and Compassion International. In addition, Hint Mint is donating 100% of all the sales of the AIDS Awareness Tins to help in the fight against AIDS.

Help spread the word. Share this message with 5 five people in your life and you’ll be doing your part to help save millions of lives around the world. This email WILL come back to you—and just maybe by the person you’d most like to meet.

Visit www.chicblvd.com/aids to find out more ways to take a stand, carry a tin, purchase a tin, make a pledge and enter to win $5,000 in RED prizes.

When an Awareness Mint is serendipitously offered to you, act responsibly.

Pay it Forward,

Beth Aldrich
