"H 2 OH?"

    May 20, 2005

Sometimes when I reach for a glass of water, I stop and think,
"what is water"?

Water mixes with our lemonade and coffee, it fills
our bathtub, cleans our car and makes swimming fun.   But, the most important job it has is being our main life source; and 50%

of our body is made up of water, so without water, we could not maintain life.

Today over 70% of the Earth is covered in water, which is why our planet is also referred to as the "blue planet."   Blue, it sounds like such a clean, pure color, the color of water.   However, when poured into a glass, it is colorless!

In the book, The Hidden Messages in Water,  Japanese scientist, Dr.Masaru Emoto explains that,

" Water, carried by blood and bodily fluids, is the means by which nourishment is circulated throughout our bodies.  This flow of water enables us to live actives lives."

What humans may not realize, is that

"Water has the ability to copy and memorize information.  We may also say that the water of the oceans has memories of the creatures that live in the ocean.  The earth's glaciers may well contain millions of years of the planet's history."

and Emoto continues,

"Water circulates around the globe, flowing through our bodies and spreading to the rest of the world.  If we were capable of reading this information contained in the memory of water, we would read a story of epic proportions."

Masaru Emoto has studied water for many years and he believes that the realization that water has the ability to copy information has changed his life.  After making this discovery in America, he brought it back to Japan, and has since used the information-copying function of water to help people recover their health!

So what exactly did Mr. Emoto discover?

He remembered back in elementary school
how he was taught that no two snowflakes looked alike, so he realized that,

"If I froze water and looked at the crystals under a microscope, each one would look totally unique,"

and they did!

Over time he managed to turn the crystal images that he observed under the microscope into photographs.  The pictures are worth a thousand words...read on!

Dr. Emoto experimented with exposing different kinds of music to the test bottles of water, and sure enough, the crystals formed were all very different.   He recalls,

"All the classical music that we exposed the water to resulted in well-formed crystals with distinct characteristics.  In contrast, the water exposed to

violent heavy-metal music resulted in fragmented

and malformed crystals at best."

Wow, considering that we're made up of 50% water,  I may consider changing my current radio station, especially when my children are in the car!

His experimenting didn’t stop there;  next, he started taping words to the sides of  the bottles, such as "Thank You" or "Fool" and again, the results were amazing!  The water exposed to "Thank you" formed beautiful hexagonal crystals, but water exposed to the word "Fool" produced crystals similar to the water exposed to heavy-metal music, malformed and fragmented

Dr. Emoto shares that, "The lesson that we can learn from this experiment has to do with the power of words.  The vibration of good words has a positive effect on our world, whereas the vibration from negative words has the power to destroy."

Simply from a bottle of water!

You can read more about the interesting experiments Dr. Emoto has done with water and see some amazing photographs that will show how positive and negative words (and thoughts) can impact every species and the world around us in,

If there is magic on the planet, it is contained in the water.
