I would like to pass
out on your lawn.
I would like to see
you in your under-
wear. Just once.
I would be good.

this making
flesh
careful as a child
sets a buckeye
out for squirrels.
I would be on the PTA
the Neighborhood Watch
and He would reveal
the secret shapes of clouds
on the way to school
so much easier
than I can flinch at the hollow
cumulous of my mouth
when I mouth your name.
